For the filling:

  • 2 ½ cups cherries, halved and pitted
  • A dash of lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp coconut sugar
  • 3 tbsp filtered water

For the dough:

  • 1 cup ground oats (grind in a food processor until it has flour consistency)
  • 1 cup oatmeal
  • ½ cup raw cane sugar or coconut sugar
  • 3 tbsp light olive oil or coconut oil
  • 3 tbsp bee honey
  • ¾ cup chopped walnuts
  • 3 tbsp pumpkin seeds
  • ¼ cup filtered water
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds + 3 tbsp water, stir and allow to set for 15 minutes


For the filling, put all the ingredients in a pot and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes or until most of the liquid has evaporated and it has a jam-like texture. Allow to cool.

For the dough, mix all the ingredients in a bowl until forming a dough and let it set for 5 minutes. Preheat the oven to 360°F.

Split the dough into 3 portions. With two parts, make the base by putting the dough on a greased oven tray or baking pan, pressing well, and bake for 7 minutes.

Take the base out of the oven, add the cherry filling, and place the remaining dough irregularly on top, pressing with your hands. Put back in the oven for 20-25 more minutes or until cooked and brown on top.

Take out of the oven and allow to cool before cutting.
