Ingredients

NECESSARY UTENSILS
Plastic wrap

INGREDIENTS

  • 2.2 lb strawberries, washed and stems removed
  • 1 cup granulated white sugar (you can add more or less according to taste)
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 envelope gelatin (0.3 oz)

Preparation

Put the water and sugar in a small pot over low heat, stirring constantly until the sugar has completely dissolved. Allow to cool for a while.
Add the gelatin to the syrup in a drizzle and mix well (you can use a hand mixer) so no lumps are left (if there are lumps, you can sieve them in the next step).
Put the strawberries and syrup in a blender or food processor, until obtaining a smooth liquid.
Pour the mixture into a mold (I like using a rectangular loaf pan). Cover with plastic wrap, noting that the ice cream and the plastic are in contact across the entire surface, to prevent crystals from forming.
Refrigerate for at least 6 hours.
Ten minutes before serving, take the ice cream out of the freezer, serve, and enjoy!
