BLACKBERRY-MINT JULEP

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp mint
  • Crushed ice
  • 3 oz whiskey

For the syrup:

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup blackberries
  • 1 handful fresh mint
  • 1 cup sugar

Preparation

Combine sugar and blackberries in a pot and mash until obtaining a puree.

Add water and put over high heat until it boils.

Lower the heat to medium, stirring every now and then, and cook for 10 more minutes. Remove from the heat and allow to cool.

Fill the glasses with ice and add syrup up to ¾. Then add whiskey to taste and serve.
