APPLE CRUMBLE CAKE

Ingredients

  • 4 apples, peeled, seeded, cut into halves and then sliced
  • 7 oz butter, in ointment consistency
  • 7 oz sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 8.8 oz flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

FOR THE CRUMBLE:

  • 2 oz butter at room temperature
  • 4.5 oz flour
  • 2 oz sugar
  • 1 oz brown sugar

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 360°F, butter a mold and set aside. Beat the butter and sugar until obtaining a creamy and light mixture. Add the eggs one by one, while beating at low speed. Incorporate the vanilla extract. Add sifted flour and baking powder, spoonful by spoonful, until adding all of it. Cover the base of the mold with dough and arrange the apple slices on top in a spiral shape. Cover with crumble and sprinkle some brown sugar. Bake for about 30 minutes or until you can insert a toothpick and it lifts with it.

I decorated mine with raspberries.

FOR THE CRUMBLE:

Mix the butter and sugar, add flour, while mixing with a fork. Keep beating until the mixture looks like wet sand.
