Blueberry Salted Pizza

  • 1 lb pizza dough
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, grated
  • ½ cup gorgonzola cheese, shredded
  • 4 oz bacon, diced, cooked and drained
  • ¼ cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • ¼ cup fresh basil, thinly sliced
  • Freshly ground black pepper

Preheat the oven to 430°F.

Lightly flour a work surface.

Knead and roll out the dough in a 10 x 12-inch oval; place on a big oven tray.

With a fork, dock the dough in several places.

Leaving a 2-cm margin, sprinkle half of the mozzarella, the gorgonzola, bacon, and red onion on the dough.

Bake until the crust is brown, around 12-14 minutes.

Sprinkle blueberries and the rest of the mozzarella on the pizza; bake until the cheese is melted and the crust is brown, around 2 more minutes.

Take out of the oven; cover with basil and pepper.
